About Ropox

Ropox was established in 1962 and has been concentrating on two spheres of activity:

Own products (rehab/assistive technology products)
Development, production and marketing of rehab products, i.e. assistive devices, furniture and equipment for occupational and physiotherapeutical rehabilitation of elderly and people with disabilities.

OEM-supplier
Production of all types of steel tubes and steel sheet work.
Frames and fittings for the furniture trade.
Various steel structures.
Contract work.

Approximately 30% of the production is sold on the Danish market, whereas the remaining 70% is exported, primarily to Western Europe as well as the U.S. and Asia.

Today Ropox has approximately 85 employees.
Time has shown that the development of furniture and equipment for people with disabilities in combination with the activity as a reliable OEM-supplier was the right choice.
As a result, both of our objectives have been achieved.

Long-standing rehab tradition
In Denmark we have excellent possibilities of creating some of the world’s best assistive technology products for people with disabilities. For many years the Danish society has taken up a sociopolitical attitude and shown a will to ensure that all citizens are offered the possibility of obtaining a good life and to provide equal opportunities for people with disabilities.

Thus, the Danish tradition has provided a natural market and, consequently, a financial basis for Ropox to develop high-quality and sophisticated products.

As a result, the Ropox products are now worldwide renown and recognised because of their excellent quality, flexibility and user-orientation.

The user in focus
"Better ways to better days" – this is the simple basic philosophy of Ropox.

We therefore consider it important to involve the end-users in the development of new products, whether equipment intended for rehabilitation or asisstive devices to be used in daily activities at the workplace or elsewhere, where people need assistance to cope with the challenges of everyday life.

Also, we endeavour to develop solutions meeting the wishes and needs of our OEM-customers as well as occupational therapists and physiotherapists.

Careful process
During the entire process from idea to final result a current dialogue is going on with the therapists, who are familiar with the market.

This is very important to obtain the optimum result. Only by making heavy demands on ourselves can we obtain the quality standards required by our customers and ourselves when it comes to user-orientation, product selection and technical features.

Original solutions in metal
In addition to being market leader within the development and manufacture of rehab equipment Ropox has specialised in the construction and production of original solutions in metal. Ropox supplies these products to manufacturers of original equipment (Original Equipment Manufacturers). No matter what product you manufacture, which includes metal, Ropox is a partner capable of supplying the correct tubes and plates.

Our normal product range includes everything from height-adjustable furniture frames and wheelchair lifts to vacuum cleaner trolleys. As a development and production facility we have the staff and machinery capable of implementing your ideas.

Technical department
This is where it all begins. Ideas are conceived, products are developed and designed, all by our competent and experienced technical staff in close collaboration with the other departments and often with external specialists as sparring partners.

Tool department
To be able to meet the demands for innovation, flexibility, accuracy and urgency Ropox has its own tool department. By means of sophisticated equipment our tool makers are capable of making special tools and machinery used in the development of prototypes and in the final production.

Production
Ropox uses state-of-the art technology in the production process, i.e. robot welding, tube bending with laser measuring centre, automatic lathes, laser cutting etc., and the work is carried out by our competent staff in the four workshops:

· Cutting shop

· Welding shop

· Plate shop

· Machine shop

Assembly and shipment
This is where we add the finishing touch. The products are controlled and the last screws fitted, after which we pack the products and ship them to customers in Denmark and abroad.

Sale and marketing
This is your contact with Ropox. We always ensure that you get in touch with the same contact person (key account manager), who is responsible for the entire process and guarantees that quality, price and delivery time meet your requirements and expectations.

Staff
Ropox has about 85 employees, who have one thing in common: Once they have become part of the team they are very reluctant to leave us. This also applies to our customers.
