Social responsibility

Ropox is actively engaged in establishing improved living conditions for people with functional disabilities and their helpers. Since 1989 we have therefore allocated an annual grant of 25,000 DKK to an occupational therapist for a special contribution to the profession.

The Ropox Prize
Any occupational therapist or group of occupational therapists may recommend a colleague for the Ropox Prize. The recommendation will be sent to Ergoterapeutforeningen, Nr. Voldgade 90, 1358 Copenhagen K, after which the vice-chairman of the association, a representative from Ropox and two practicing occupational therapists will review the recommendations and select the winner of the prize.

In 2008 Annette Kjærsgaard, Ph.d. student, MscOT, special occupational therapist and F.O.T.T. instructor, who is associated with the Hammel Neuro Center, was awarded the Ropox Prize. Through her long work Annette has contributed to placing dysphagia on the agenda in Denmark.
